Nollywood actress, Ini Edo was honored with the best international movie actress at the Rwanda international movie awards. A video shared on her Instagram page by the actress this morning shows her displaying the award.
She appreciated the organizers for honoring her with the award and was delighted she was the one who went home with it. The award was given to her because of the role she played in the movie series, ‘Shanty Town’. Ini Edo was one of the main characters in the movie.
The actress has been acting in the Nigerian movie Industry for a very long time now. She is recognized for her talent and aggressiveness whenever she is acting. A role that has to do with being aggressive normally does fit Ini Edo and perhaps that’s the reason why she is normally called to play such a role.
Rwanda is taking big steps to improve its movie Industry. They are looking for ways to link up with the big actors in Africa which will help boost their recognition. Inviting actors from Africa to be honored with an award is indeed a great way to start.
