Recall that Peter Obi‘s media aide, Professor Chinyere announced on Wednesday that Peter Obi was detained in UK when he went there for Easter Celebration over alleged impersonation. Omoyele Sowore reacting to it said that there is something suspicious about Peter Obi’s ‘immigration story’, adding that he doesn’t see how his biometric identity could lead to him being seen as an impersonator. He said that something fishy is going on.
Reacting to this in a Radio Conversation on Voice of the People 90.3FM, the Arise News Journalist, Rufai Oseni said even after the incident, Peter Obi never said a word about it and later went to a church in the UK, and that he felt it was just a minor issue.
In his words, he said:
“Peter Obi didn’t really see it as a big deal, it was that woman (Peter Obi’s media aide) that said all of these must stop. Sowore raised a good point by asking how Peter Obi was seen as an impersonator despite the biometric passport with his fingerprint and biometric identity. Investigative journalists should also ask the questions further to know why all that happened. The UK authorities also must be able to give a coherent side about the impersonation thing.”
