Top Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has finally taken to social media to reveal that she was nearly kidnapped on Thursday, April 13.
This happened after controversial Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo on the early hours of Thursday, April 13 took to her official Instagram page to inform Nigerians that the beautiful mother of one narrowly escaped a kidnap attempt organized by her new driver.
According to the post shared online by the investigative journalist, she made it known that the singer’s new driver was the one who gave out the information about her movement to his co-conspirators.
Luckily for the singer, Kemi Olunloyo noted that the kidnap attempt failed and all the people involved in the kidnap attempt have all been arrested and handed to the police.
Confirming the kidnap attempt, the Somebody Son crooner, through a post shared online by her manager revealed that the people responsible for the kidnapping attempt had been arrested and put behind bars for questioning.
The statement shared online by the singer’s manager reads;
“Following recent reports online, we can confirm that on Thursday 13th April, 2023, that there was a major security breach at the recent of musician Tiwa Savage.
“A number of suspects were caught and are currently being held under investigation at Alagbon Police Station, Ikoyi. Ms Savage and family are all safe.”
