Popular Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth has confirmed during an interview that he has separated from his wife of 12 years. He made it known during an interview that people thought he was joking when he said he had separated from his wife. He made it known that despite their breakup, the two of them are still cool with each other.
He disclosed that he is not someone who likes to bring up relationship matters on social media, saying that he can never joke with such matters. He made it clear that it was something that he needed to do, saying that it was after 12 years of marriage that he separated from his wife.
In the statement he made during the interview, he said, “When I said I’m separated from my wife of 12 years, people thought it was a joke.” Some people said maybe I wanted to start another show, but people don’t really know my style, and I’m not someone who brings personal matters to public platforms. “It was something I needed to do, and we are both cool about it.”
